An empty lot on the southwest corner of Hurontario St. and Sandalwood Pkwy. will soon be a hub for innovative logistics, transportation and distribution.
Pure Industrial recently acquired the 28-acre parcel of land and intends to build more than 600,000 sq.-ft. of leasable area.

The development is still subject to municipal approvals but has received preliminary support from Mayor Patrick Brown and city council.
The site’s zoning allows for a wide range of uses including innovative logistics, office, transportation, advanced manufacturing, and distribution facilities, while also providing coveted outside storage capabilities.
Pure intends to build two new buildings on site with state-of-the-art features to attract modern warehouse and logistics users, including 36-40 ft. clear heights, ample trailer parking, and multiple access points combined with signaled traffic intersections.
“Brampton is a city of opportunities and we are focused on nurturing investment and economic development,” said Brown.
“As we move out of this pandemic and work towards economic recovery, it is vital that our local businesses have a thriving environment to grow. This is one example of how we can attract new businesses to Brampton and provide opportunities and space for existing ones to grow.”
The strategic location also provides users with access to one of Ontario’s highest quality labour pools, several major highways, as well as to Brampton’s Zum and GO Train. More than 300 jobs are expected to be generated once developed, in addition to 50 construction jobs over the next two years.
